Long-term planning for future housing need

As shown earlier, the Estate has always provided homes for local people. Demand for affordable homes for local people has never been greater.

As part of longer term planning, the Estate is seeking views on whether there is demand for a small number of new energy efficient homes within Englefield and, if so, what type of housing and where they might be built?

The Estate continues a policy of prioritising lettings to families who hold long associations with the area, to those who work locally, or to those who might send children to local schools.

These policies help ensure the village remains vibrant and can maintain local services.

For example, do you have relatives who would like to live in Englefield but are not able to find a suitable property?  Do you want to move to a larger or smaller home?

The Estate is considering undertaking a formal housing needs survey but initial feedback is welcomed.
